Mi nombre es Marc Alexandre Rimond. Tengo veinte años, y estudio un grado en Política, Derecho y Economía en la Universidad IE en el campus del Convento de Santa Cruz la Real.

Nací en México, también donde viví la mayoría de mi vida, de familia y descendencia francesa. La mescolanza de culturas no terminaría ahí, pues toda la vida estudie en colegios americanos los cuales me expondrían a compañeros de todos lados del mundo. Esto crearía en mi un sentimiento de ser ciudadano del mundo.

Mi mayor pasión en la vida está en el aprender. Seguido esto es utilizado como sinónimo de estudiar, y mientras que sí pienso que se puede aprender estudiando, me gusta mucho más aprender fuera de la clase. Soy una persona serena, a la cual le gusta sentarse a observar y escuchar. Sin embargo, nunca digo que no a una discusión o un debate con otras personas. Es la combinación de estas tres cosas, academia, experiencia y plática, que uno aprende más.

Al ser mis padres extranjeros en México, se me ha inculcado desde muy pequeño un amor por conocer y vivir lugares a través del mundo. Esto ha sido de los mayores legados que me han dejado mis padres. Esto me ha dado un sentido de curiosidad por conocer y aprender de los lugares a los que visito. Y he tenido la suerte de que, a través del IE, pueda conocer una ciudad tan hermosa como Segovia.

Vine por primera vez a Segovia hace un poco menos de cuatro años como parte del programa del Junior Advisory Board del IE. Queda decir que también fue como experimenté España por primera vez. Y desde ese entonces, he quedado enamorado de la ciudad; no solo de sus paisajes y monumentos, pero también por el ambiente y la gente. Y ahora, pudiendo vivir la ciudad, he de decir que ha sido de las mejores experiencias de mi vida.

Ser parte del programa Joven Embajador es, para mí, verdaderamente uno placer y un honor. Estoy ansioso de poder ayudar a dar a conocer esta ciudad, que me ha dado tanto, siempre buscando aprender lo más posible de mis experiencias. Muchas de estas las cuales podré compartir con ustedes a través de este blog.

 

 

My name is Marc Alexandre Rimond. I am twenty years old, and study my bachelor’s degree in Politics, Law and Economics at IE University’s campus at Convento de Santa Cruz la Real.

I was born in Mexico, where I also lived most of my life, from a French family and descent. This crucible of cultures would not end here, as all my life I studied in American schools. These would expose me to a huge variety of cultures, from all over the world, in my classmates. This has created in me the sentiment of being a citizen of the world.

My biggest passion lays in learning. This something which has often been used as synonym to study. And while I do think that one can learn a lot from studying, I also thoroughly enjoy learning outside the classroom. I am a very calm person, which enjoys sitting down to listen and observe my environment. That being said, I never back down form an opportunity to engage in discussion and debate with other people. It is the combination of these three things: academia, experience and discussion, that I have found one learns the most.

Being my parent foreigners in Mexico, a love for getting to know places has been instilled in me from a very young age. This has been one of the greatest legacies given by my parents. This has given me curiosity to know and learn from the places I visit and live in. And I have now been very lucky, through IE University, to get to know a city as beautiful as Segovia.

I came to the city for the first time a bit less than four years ago, as part of IE’s Junior Advisory Board program. This was also the way in which I experienced Spain for the first time. From that moment on, I have been in love with the city; not only its sceneries and landmarks, but also it’s environment and people. Now, being able to live in this city, I have to say that I am living the best experiences of my life.

Being part of the Young Ambassador program is, for me, truly a pleasure and honor. I am looking forward to be able to help in promoting this city, which has given me so much, while at the same time learning as much as possible from my experiences. Many of which I will share with you through this blog.
